Carbon nano – conical carbon structures, linear dimensions of which, at least in one direction of the order of one micrometer or less.
The values of base and height of nano-are quantities of the same order. In this they differ from carbon nanowires. The latter (carbon nanowires) length orders of magnitude greater than their diameter.
The nano can be both hollow and filled.
