The uniqueness of this development is the use of fiber laser technology, separation of grains and seeds with the aim of identifying kernels with both external and hidden defects, as well as the opportunity to carry out spectral point analysis, which allows to determine the composition of the grain for the purpose of sorting it on the basis of chemical composition.

The sorter (fibre separator of grains and seeds) through the use of modern fibre laser technology makes it possible to separate seeds and grains not only by external parameters, such as color, texture, form elements, but by a hidden internal characteristics.

Working principle:

The principle of laser fiber separation of grains and seeds is as follows.

The laser emitters 1 and 2, create light beams of different lengths of waves using fiber optic and optical systems of the scanner 3 is converted into a flat luminous flux 4.

From the hoppers of the vibrating feeder 5 seeds in a thin layer, served on sloped trays: 6 and 7. When gathering with these trays, the grains fall into the area of the light flux 4. Part of the light transmitted through grains is recorded with a fast camera 8.

Red forms of rice in contrast to high-quality seeds pass less light, so the camera 8 captures them as darker objects than with quality grains and using processing system images, sends a signal to the block 9 pnevmomaketov. After this signal, through the opposite of poor quality grains pneumoectomy, fed air flow, with which the impurities and part of the grains are sent to the receiver 10, the intermediate fraction, and quality seeds under the action of gravity fall into the receiver 11 of pure product.

The intermediate fraction is needed to reduce losses of quality seeds in the waste. The intermediate fraction in the separator is sent to the vibrating feeder bunkers 12.

Separation of impurities from the intermediate fraction is carried out as follows. Laser emitters: 13 and 14, by using the scanner 15 create a flat light flux 16. From the vibrating feeder bunkers 12 intermediate fraction is fed in a thin layer on the sloped trays: 17 and 18. When gathering with these trays, the grains fall into the area of the light flux 16.

Using the camera 19 and block 20 pnevmomagistral red forms of rice are sent to the receiver 21 of the waste, and quality seeds and the Unallocated part of the red forms of rice under the action of gravity fall into the receiver 22 – semi – pure product. The fraction of conditionally – pure product is then transferred to the hopper of the vibrating feeder 5.
