The spaciousness is an alloy of aluminium (Al) (basis) with magnesium (Mg) (1-30 %), also containing manganese (Mn) (0,2-1,6 %), sometimes zinc (Zn) (3,5-4,5 %), Nickel (Ni) (1,75-2,25 %), beryllium (Be) (to 1.15 %), titanium (Ti) (0.2 %), zirconium (Zr) (0.2%), etc.

Used as a structural material in aircraft construction, in shipbuilding, in mechanical engineering (welded tanks, rivets, pipes, oil), for the manufacture of parts of refrigeration installations for the manufacture of decorative household items etc.

 

Properties:

– has the properties of brass and bronze

– high strength and corrosion resistance in fresh water and even in sea water,

– good resistant to nitric acid HNO3, diluted sulphuric acid H2SO4, phosphoric acid H3PO4, as well as in environments containing SO2,

– good weldability

– high plasticity,

– easy machining, good Polish.
