The modifier is purely chemical (synthesised) basis, with a particle size of 40-60 nm.

In the process of treatment “Mailitem” on the surfaces of friction pairs in the contact area forms a diamond-like layer. Layer is a single crystal composed of carbon grown on the crystal lattice of the surface layer of the metal. The surface layer has an extremely low coefficient of friction. At the same time by diffusion of carbon from the surface to the depth of the metal, improve the structure of its crystal lattice and, thus, the surface hardened layer of the metal itself. The thermodynamic processes occurring in the zones of friction in the presence of “Mitylite”, contribute to the formation of a thicker modified layer in areas of maximum production of the metal.
