Optical fiber, can withstand extreme temperatures
Optical fiber, can withstand extreme temperatures.
Description:
Quartz optical fibercoated with a special chemical composition of tin and bismuth, capable for more than 25 years to withstand extreme temperatures from -50 to +200 oC.
This material (a coating of tin and bismuth) maximum structure protects the fiber from damage. Depending on the diameter of the manufactured optical fiber (125-1200 µm) varies and the thickness of the protective coating is 20-80 microns.
