Nuclear engine for space flight

Nuclear engine for space flight.

Technology is in the process of development!

Nuclear rocket engine will help comic the ship to get to Pluto in 2 months, to alpha Centauri for 12 years, and Epsilon Eridani for 24.8 years.

Description:

Traditional nuclear engine is a type of rocket engine that uses the energy of the fission or fusion of nuclei to create jet thrust. In such engines the working fluid is supplied from the tank to the active zone of the nuclear reactor, where, passing through the heated reaction of nuclear fission channels, is heated to high temperatures and then is ejected through the nozzle, creating a jet thrust. However, the application of traditional nuclear engine carries with it serious environmental problems – environmental pollution by the products of radioactive decay.

To avoid these environmental problems, a new design of a nuclear engine. Space nuclear reactor does not heat the jet ejected from it, and produces electricity. The hot gas from the nuclear reactor turns a turbine, the turbine turns the generator and compressor that circulates the working fluid in a closed circuit. The generator also produces electricity for the plasma – ion thruster with a specific thrust 20 times higher than that of chemical analogs – traditional rocket jet engines. Thus, a nuclear engine is operating in a closed cycle, and radioactive substances do not fall into the surrounding space.
