Description:
Nanocomposite based on wood is a wood in which the surface of micro – and macropores in its entirety evenly coated with a nanoscale polymer film, providing a change and getting new unique physical properties of the wood.
It is known that wood has a porous structure and 60% of such pores. So this natural material is easily subject to processing nanoscale of natural ingredients.
As a material, from which subsequently obtained nanocomposite can be used as a regular wood (boards, beams, etc.), and plywood (laminated wood construction, LVL beams).
Nanocomposite based on wood is a brand new construction materialwhich has a unique high performance properties that are not inherent in the wood in nature.
This material can be used for industrial and civil building, low-rise construction and for furniture production.
Advantages:
– has unique properties not typical of conventional wood,
– environmentally friendly natural material,
– has a hydrophobic, flame retardant and antiseptic properties, that the ordinary wood missing,
– retains all the positive properties of wood,
– high strength,
– high load capacity that allows you to create very long wooden supporting structures (approximately 36 metres),
possibility of implementation of different architectural design ideas,
– reliability,
– dimensional stability when exposed to temperature, humidity and humid air,
– no cracking,
– high level of heat capacity. The heat loss through the wall thickness of 280 mm is about 0,10-0,12 W/m2*OS. Cooling of the premises upon termination of the supply of heat – no more than 2 °C/day,
– high fungus resistance,
– the almost complete absence of action of biologically active microorganisms on the body wood
– high density,
– service life is two times more than conventional wood
– has 1st category of fire protection,
– additionally attaches to the quality of the subsequent paint coating and reduces the consumption of coating materials more than 2 times.
The technology of obtaining:
The technology of producing nanocomposite based on wood includes: deep vacuum drying and impregnation with water solution of nanosized natural ingredients (arabinogalactan, dihydroquercetin , etc.) with their following mono – and multi-molecular adsorption on the surface of the pores, resulting in macro – and micropores of the wood forms a nanoscale polymer film.
In the process of drying wood, such as Siberian larch is extracted from the aqueous extract containing the dihydroquercetin molecules enclosed in the shell of the macromolecules of arabinogalactan.
The resulting aqueous solution of arabinogalactan and dihydroquercetin during drying of Siberian larch after modification in conjunction with other components utilized in the impregnation process of the wood of other species.
