Internet over electrical wires

Internet over electrical wires.

Internet via the electrical network is a telecommunication technology based on the use of electrical networks for high-speed information exchange. It uses a frequency band of 4-21 MHz. This technology does not affect the transmission by wire of electricity of a conventional standard frequency of 50 Hz of the mains.

Description:

Internet over electrical wires (power line communication, PLC, or “communication through transmission lines”) is a telecommunication technology based on the use of electrical networks for high-speed information exchange. It uses a frequency band of 4-21 MHz, dividing the stream into several low-speed connections, each of which is transmitted on a separate frequency, and then combine them into one signal. This principle allows not to influence the regular transmission by wire of electricity, as the operating frequency of the PLC is a significant difference in comparison with the standard 50 Hz electric network. Thus, a regular grid can simultaneously deliver power and data over a single circuit (a line).

The technology PLC means that data transfer is possible for any electric network, including the creation of a LAN based on the transport power line (e.g., trolley or subway), and on the basis of high-voltage transmission lines (used for data transmission between power plants).

To work with PLC technology the user needs to use a PLC adapter is a client device of a small size, inserted directly in the socket, which has network port RJ-45 Fast Ethernet. Using a network cable PLC adapter connects to a computer (PC or laptop) or telecommunications (hub, switch, router) equipment.

Advantages:

– the speed of the Internet connection. PLC adapter for 30 minutes after turning on the power grid is prescribed on the operator’s server and allows the user to access the network Internet,

no circuit works. To connect to the Internet, you only need to include the PLC adapter to the network and connect it via network cable to a computer technician. The PLC is not violated, the interiors of hallways and rooms,

– ease of use. After connecting a PLC adapter, the system automatically determines the IP address and all network settings for access to the network operator. The user should properly connect the network cable to the LAN ports of the devices.

– high-speed. The use of technology PLC allows you to provide end users with a bandwidth up to 100 Mbps.
