Created by diesel engines series DM-185 is a new generation for industrial use.

Features the most powerful diesel engine is impressive: a 4.7-megawatt 16 cylinder engine with two-stage turbocharging, the engine speed – 1,9 thousand rpm.

The difference between this series of engines from their Western counterparts in that they operate at high rotational speed of the crankshaft that allows for greater power in a smaller footprint and weight of the engine itself. It is very important not only for the construction of new facilities but also to upgrade existing ones. For example, when upgrading ships.

In diesel engines applied fuel injection equipment “sommon rail”, that is, the electronically-controlled injectors allow the microprocessor to control the injection quantity, the injection timing and thus to achieve optimization of the working process.

On the basis of diesel engines of the series DM-185 created by diesel-generator set installation.
