Deep processing of flax is the direction of “green chemistry” associated with the possibility of replacing wood pulp and cotton cellulose cellulose annual plants (flax, miscanthus, etc.). This approach to the synthesis of cellulose are able to some extent to solve the acute environmental problem of massive deforestation as well as reduce the import dependence in the production of strategically important products.

Description:

Deep processing of flax — towards “green chemistry” associated with the possibility of replacing wood and cotton cellulose cellulose annual plants (flax, miscanthus , etc.). This approach to the synthesis of cellulose are able to some extent to solve the acute environmental problem of massive deforestation as well as reduce the import dependence in the production of strategically important products.

Flax and flax fire (waste processing flax), is able to fully replace cotton in the production of cellulose, the consumption of products on the basis of which in Russia is very high (120-140 thousand tons per year for the civil sector and 60-100 thousand tons per year for DIC).

The flax annually renewable raw material resource, not exerting pressure on the ecosystem.

Possessing the unique properties of flax cellulose allows to produce products of premium quality.

 


Products based on deep processing of flax:

Powdered cellulose – polymer product of natural origin, is either a powder (microcrystalline cellulose) or short fiber (fibrous powder cellulose). Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is used as a humidity stabilizer, emulsifier, food additive, as a component of cosmetic products. MCC is actively used in medicine, it is an auxiliary substance for many liquid, granular and tableted medicines, ointments, suspensions, toothpastes. In addition, MCC is a filler in obtaining plastics, porcelain and ceramics, component of biological means of plant protection, sorbents, thickeners, nonwovens, etc.

Flax cellulose also serves as raw material for the production of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), comparable in quality to CMC from cotton cellulose. CMC is used in medicine and cosmetic industry, it is part of hairspray, toothpastes, laxatives, used in the manufacture of glue.

Nitrocellulose (NC) is a strategic product used to get smokeless powder (guncotton) and explosives (a mixture of nitrocellulose with nitroglycerin). NTS serves as the basis for nitrocellulose lacquers, paints and enamels, is used to obtain membranes, photos and films.

hygiene and cosmetics: diapers, absorbent sheets and diapers for children and adults, cotton pads and disposable wipes, cosmetic face masks,
