To obtain the valuable unsaturated hydrocarbonsrequired for polymer chemistry (for example, for the production of various plastics) in Russia uses the catalyst of the fluidized bed in the form of dust. This method has some significant drawbacks: low depth of processing, toxic emissions, high energy consumption.

The domestic use of the developed catalysts based on oxides of aluminum and chromium increases the depth of oil refining, which in turn increases the yield of the target product by 5-10%, which for the industry significantly.

Granular chromia-alumina catalyst is loaded into industrial reactors is not more than once a year, whereas the traditional catalyst dust is completely consumed already in 1-3 months. In addition, the use of this granular chromia-alumina catalyst will reduce the wear and tear of equipment and toxic emissions in the atmosphere.
